How to Install WordPress from cPanel

WordPress is a highly-adaptable and user-friendly content management system (CMS) available free open-source content management system (CMS). There are various methods to install WordPress, based on diverse preferences such as using an installer provided by a web hosting service or manual installation with FTP assistance.

To set up WordPress on cPanel and get your WordPress admin login, follow these steps:

  1. Access cPanel:

Log in to your web hosting account and locate the cPanel dashboard. This is typically provided by your hosting provider and contains various tools for managing your website.

  • Find the Softaculous App Installer:

 In the cPanel dashboard, look for the Softaculous App Installer. It is usually displayed as an icon or a section within the dashboard. Click on it to access the Softaculous installer.

  • Install WordPress:

Once you’re in the Softaculous installer, you’ll find a list of applications. Look for WordPress and click on it. On the WordPress installation page, click the “Install Now” button to start the installation process.

  • Configure WordPress Settings:

 On the installation page, you’ll need to configure some basic settings. Choose the protocol (HTTP or HTTPS) and select the domain on which you want to install WordPress. You can also specify the directory where you want to install it, but leaving it blank will install WordPress in the root directory.

  • Set up Admin Account:

 Provide the desired admin username and password for your WordPress site. Make sure to choose a strong password for security purposes. Enter your email address and any other required information.

  • Select Language and Plugins:

 Choose the desired language for your WordPress installation. You can also select plugins to be installed automatically. For a basic installation, it’s recommended to leave the plugin selection as is.

  • Install WordPress:

  • Access Your WordPress Admin Login:

 Once the installation is complete, you’ll see a success message. It will display the URL for accessing your WordPress admin login page. It usually follows the format: Copy this URL or click on it to open the login page.

  • Log in to WordPress Admin:

 On the WordPress login page, enter the admin username and password you set up earlier. After entering your credentials, click the “Log In” button to access the WordPress admin dashboard.

Congratulations! You have now successfully set up WordPress on cPanel and logged into the WordPress admin dashboard. From here, you can customize your website, install themes and plugins, create content, and manage all aspects of your WordPress site.
